Jerry Zee grew up in Mobile, Alabama. His childhood was full of adventure and magic. "We had bicycle clubs and baseball teams, nightly games of kick-the-can and even Mardi Gras parades. The floats were those red Flexible Flyer wagons pulled down the sidewalk. Kids wearing costumes stood in them throwing candy whether anyone was watching or not."

As an adult, Jerry found himself in Atlanta working at Paideia, a well-respected independent school. This is where his love of teaching and music became one.

Jerry was a teacher for eight years and says he prefers the company of his students, usually, to that of adults. "Kids are honest," he said. "They possess unconditional love and are affectionate without strings attached. Kids are very real." The result of his years of interaction with children in his classroom is apparent in the songs he has written on his debut recording entitled Boogie Woogie Bullfrog.
The Show

Jerry Zee's zany antics begin from the moment he appears onstage until the last note is sung! This "Parents Choice Gold Award" winner brings his original music to life in a very interactive and educational show. He encourages audience participation with the use of multiple props, musical instruments, movement and sing-a-longs.

Jerry's songs cover a variety of topics such as environmental awareness, cultural diversity and building friendships. The show's highlight is the appearance of a larger than life, colorful character namedBoogie Woogie Bullfrog.Zalnoski said his classroom ideals carry over to his musical goal; he's always trying to teach kids, even when he's Jerry Zee. "I'm trying to teach through the music," he said of the CD, which in an earlier incarnation included an instruction book for teachers. "Every song has something important in it for kids to learn."
